Acting in theater is more professional than acting on TV

Do you think that acting in theater is the same as acting on TV? It could seem the same thing, but it is not. However, both performances share some similarities such as having actors, having a plot, using props, and all the production. In addition, both performances are very interesting and fun, but they are not identical. There are many factors that make even better acting in theater than acting on TV, for example: the use of voice, body expression, and making errors.

The use of voice in theater is excellent. We know that one of the best ways of communication is the voice; with it actors can express a story. On TV, for actors it is very easy to use their voice. They really do not need any kind of preparation because they use microphones, and technology help them to be heard by everybody without scream. In contrast, in theater it is very different. In theater, actors need a long preparation for their voices, because they do not use microphones. For this reason, actors should speak loudly in order to the spectators from the first line to the last one hear everything that the actors are saying.

Body communication expresses messages in a more lively in way in theater than TV does. Body movements are a very important part of acting in order to transmit the message better. The body language on TV is natural, and it is not exaggerated. The actors’ movements are less emphasized and the use of space is very static, because the actors do not use a lot the space where they are working. This is because the cameras are able to zoom those areas that production wants to emphasize, so the audience is able to catch the messages through body expression. On the other hand, the use of the body really differs in theater. In a theater stage actors should take care of some aspects such as not covering another actor, not to turn your back to the audience, and turn towards the spectator. But the most important one is that all the movements should be more emphasized and exaggerated, so all the people in the play can see all the movements.

Making errors on TV can be fixed over and over again. It is very typical to make errors during a performance or forget parts of the play. Nevertheless, this is not a problem on TV performances, because if someone makes an error they just record the same scene again. In contrast, during plays making errors is worse. As the public is watching the play everything has to flow absolutely well. In theater actors are not allowed to make mistakes because the audience can notice the errors. So actors should be very creative to improvise in case they forget something. Not only actors from theater can improvise, also they are clever and intelligent, and when they make errors they are able to adjust the dialogue again.

Acting in theater and acting on TV need a lot of time of preparation and effort in order to having a good performance. It is considered that in order to be a good actor for television, it is necessary to be acting in theater plays. So, here we can see that theater is an important basis in the acting world, because it is a complete preparation for actors. “1973” is a documentary that was made by Antonio Isordia in Mexico and in Chihuahua cities. “I looked for characters that embody power, love, and hatred; three creepy human concepts” the producer said during an interview. He actually found them.

This documentary is about three middle class people who were born in 1973 in Mexico City. These three parallel lives –Rodolfo, Mafer, and Alejandro- experienced lots of trouble due to a life lacking attention and full of frustration. This situation drove them to a life of destruction that led to problems with the government, to self destruction and to the annihilation of a family.

This film is very good. It shows a cruel but true reality that is lived in this Mexican society. The way it was filmed allows the spectator to perceive feelings such as sadness, frustration, anger, passion, and pleasure.
Music, images, and pictures are the perfect means to get into the tragic stories. Give yourself the opportunity to watch this documentary and you will realize it is an excellent film and a great production. Moreover, you will see life from another perspective.

Have you ever thought that bikes are used by teenagers just for having fun? Many people think that this vehicle is for young people to practice sports or just for having fun. Well, this is one of its advantages, but we cannot forget that bikes are able to move people as other ways of transportation. In many cities of the European Union the bicycle is one of the most used vehicles to move from one place to another, because it offers a lot of advantages. Mexicans should consider this vehicle as a way of transportation in order to avoid pollution in the cities and to save money.

This indicates a big problem in our environment that is causing the global warming. A Wonderful Night with Bunbury

April 4th of 2009 was the best day that I have ever had. I remember perfectly that day as it had been yesterday. It was a warm and sheltering day, and the air had that fragrant smell of spring time “flowers and green trees”. There my best friend Fernando and I were together waiting excited to get into the concert. I had waited so much time for his coming, and finally my dream was coming true. I did not even care about the six hours that we had to wait to get into the concert, because my pleasantness was more than that. The concert environment, Bunbury’s performance and all the mixed emotions that I experienced made my night unforgettable.

A stinky environment for an awesome night. When we were already there I could notice that all the people were so desperate, because Bunbury was not on the stage. Nevertheless, when Bunbury arrived to the arena that anxiety turned into a great feeling and happiness. Well, I have to say that the scent was not so gentle to the nose at that moment, because all the people were very tight which caused many of them to start sweating as pigs. However, it did not ruin my perfect night. The view was stunning, when lights were off, thousands of stars lighted our faces and the tenuous lights from the stage gave us an awesome shadow spectacle. Although, the rotten smell surrounded us; the environment was fantastic, after all Bunbury was there especially for us.

His presence was the best part of the concert. I loved the way he looked that night, his clothes were the combination of a rock star and a country star. Furthermore, I liked how his skin looked white as snow and those impregnated traces on his arms. I also fell in love with his deep green eyes, they reflected passion and desire for his music. I was absolutely lost in his voice, specifically the voice that showed the love and the pain in his heart. Moreover, I had never seen someone playing the guitar that way, his fingers crossed the strings gently and passionately. Those things made me love him even more.

The mixed feelings that I experienced in his concert were gorgeous. I like the way he writes his songs; they are deep and full of sensibility. Especially the song “El Rescate”, which reminded me when I was in love with my first love “Edgar”. This song talks about unconditional love and my first love said that it was our song. When Bunbury was singing this song I felt glad and cheerful, because I was listening to my favorite song in the whole world. However, I also felt gloomy and melancholic, because I remembered those lovely days with Edgar that I did not have any more. At that moment I missed Edgar a lot. Despite that, I felt very enthusiastic and joyful, because that night Bunbury sang marvelously.

That concert was perfect and nothing else was needed. There I was enjoying my night with my best friend and with my favorite singer. The fact that the environment was cool, Bunbury was there, and all the emotions I could feel made my night the best happening of my life. Now I know that if I had the opportunity to attend a Bunbury’s concert again, it would not be the same emotion and happiness. Any of the concerts in this world are compared with the one that I attended. For all these reasons I had beautiful night with Bunbury.

My Evolution in Electronic Literacy

I started using electronic tools as a way of having fun, but as time passed by they turned into my way of learning. Now they are part of my life, because they are very necessary in my education, profession and in my personal life. I began using them since I was younger, I continue applying them, and for all the advantages I am going to use them. Going beyond fun I use electronic instruments, because they allow me improve my knowledge in any field. Here you will know the reasons why I started these tools, my experiences with them and what I expect from them in my future.

When I was 9 years old I was obsessed with Mary-Kate and Ashley (actresses from Disney Chanel) and I wanted to get pictures from the, but I could not find pictures of them in magazines. So, I decided to get into the internet in order to have some pictures from them. Then I began using the computer just for having fun playing games from the internet. In addition, I had to use the computer in secondary school, because my teachers asked me to do homework. Another way to manipulate these tools was the necessity to work with them because in High School I studied a technical career called “computation”.

Electronic tools have been very useful and needful in my education and my personal life nowadays. Since I got into the university I had to use them to work in some subjects online and in the exchange program which has given me the opportunity to learn in different ways and increase my educational knowledge. Furthermore, running word processors (PowerPoint, Word and Excel) have helped me in my assignments and presentations. They are very serviceable and easy to work on, besides they are very professional. Not only have electronic tools been useful in my education, but also in my personal life. I can meet new people and talk with them even if they are far away. Facebook, e-mails, and other social networks are good alternatives to establish new friendships for me.

I like to think that all these electronic instruments will be very beneficial in my future life. One day I will be a teacher and I would like to give my students classes online. So my students will interact with the information provided and look for more. Moreover, I will have the opportunity to create innovating teaching materials. These materials will help students to have an easy and significant learning. Also, I know that electronic tools will provide me the resources to continue studying. I would like to study a master degree abroad through internet. Besides, I would love to study courses related to my B.A. as Education and learning Psychology.

Everything started by playing on internet, but then it turned into part of my professional training. Knowing how to manage the internet, the computer and word processors allow me increase my knowledge, making new friends and being in touch with new technologies. From my childhood until now electronic technologies have been a great way to be educated and I will learn even more. For all their benefits and their simplicity I use them all the time for having fun and learning any kind of field, and I think I could not live without them.
